Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church was so beautiful and it was so close to Latrobe’s. It was the most perfect set up for a “second line” from the Church to the reception. Latrobe’s on Royal was stunning from the inside out. The ambience and character of the building was seriously captivating. Even when we went to check out the venue during the day and there was no décor, lights or flowers the venue just really spoke for itself. It was so romantic and stunning. We could not of picked better venues for the look we were going for!
What was your favorite wedding purchase?
This is a tough one, but I would have to say that my favorite wedding purchase was my dress. It was a bit different than what I had imagined getting, but when I tried it on I just knew that it was the one. I was so excited for Mark to see it!!
What was your best wedding day memory?
I have to say (and I think Mark would agree) that our favorite memory was having our family and friends there to celebrate with us. It was truly and overwhelming joy to be surrounded by all of the people who have greatly influenced both of our lives. We are so thankful and it really was a weekend that we will never forget.
How did you incorporate your personalities into the wedding?
For our wedding we simply just wanted everyone to have fun!! We wanted people to be able to experience a “New Orleans Style” wedding first hand and create a memory that they would never forget. We wanted EVERYONE to dance, eat and party all night long and it’s safe to say I think that was accomplished. With Mark being from New Orleans and New Orleans always being a place that I have held close to my heart, we didn’t hesitate when it came to where we wanted to plan our wedding. The whole weekend was over the top incredible for both of us and the best way to toast to a lifetime together!
