I try to be neat. Really…I do. But when I’m not, I convince myself that my outside mess allows me to dedicate more time and effort to being organized on the inside. π On days like today, I wake up and realize that I have to iron my outfit, which is stuck under a gigantic stack of un-ironed clothes. Then, I have to find my jewelry, which is still inside of my unpacked bag from this weekend. And before I can walk out the door, I have to find my favorite pair of creme pumps amongst my pile of other shoes in the closet.
But shhh…don’t tell anyone. π
So, when I think of what my couples have to go through as they’re deciding what to wear for their engagement session, it truly blows my mind. I know it can be difficult enough at times to find the perfect outfit for me…but in addition, they’re having to find clothes for two people!!!!
This past weekend, I raved to my friend Gretchen about how much I LOVED Rue La La. It’s like Living Social or Bargain Bee, for designer clothes, hangbags, accessories, and shoes. In addition, they’ll sell nice trips and beautiful houseware from time to time. After purchasing a new pair of shoes and Tate Dress yesterday afternoon, I decided I needed to share this new found love of mine with you all.
I also spent a little bit of time online today at Banana Republic’s website checking out their men and women’s wear. Between Rue La La and Banana Republic, I think you could find a perfect and simply modern outfit! π
A few tips I have for when purchasing an outfit for your engagement session:
- Find something that looks good on YOU, not just on the manequin.
- Solids tend to work well; If you are going to use patterns, wear them sparingly and make sure they all coordinate.
- Neutrals (greys, navy, browns, ivory, and black) work really well for your color pallette.
- Accessories are AWESOME. Clutches, belts, hats…
- Wear something that you feel beautiful in!!!!
- Coordinate & complimenteach other without matching.
I just LOVE these outfits. π π π
So when it’s time for your engagement session…or even just a night out with your love, don’t stress!!! Hop on Rue La La or take your man shopping.
