Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
Since almost all of our family and friends were coming in from out of town we knew we wanted a hotel wedding for everyone’s convenience. When I saw the Ritz courtyard I knew it was where I wanted to get married. It has that classic New Orleans feel with the wrought iron and the gas lanterns and is also so lush and romantic with the lit trees and greenery. The Ritz is also so dedicated to service and attention to detail and I knew they would provide the guest experience we were looking for.
What was your favorite wedding detail?
The second line! Since almost all of our guests were from elsewhere we kept the second line a surprise so when the band came in and everyone realized we were shutting down the streets they were blown away! We had so much fun dancing and waving at everyone on the street.
What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
Walking down the aisle towards Hayden! I saw no one but him in that moment and he had the biggest smile on his face
How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
We are laid back people and were very focused on the guest experience during the planning process. From the band to the food selections we had our guests in mind hoping they would leave the weekend feeing they had just experienced a New Orleans party at its finest!
