If you could sum up your wedding in three words, what would they be?
Energetic, Lush, Carefree/fun
Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
We wanted the ceremony and reception in the same place without forgoing the spiritual/church feel for the ceremony, as our faith is important to us. Felicity allowed us to have the best of both worlds. Also, Felicity is stunning with its exposed beams and bricks and deep New Orleans history, so that definitely sealed the deal.
What was your favorite wedding detail?
The florals for the entrance staircase at Felicity!! I loved that it was the first thing everyone saw when entering and how Herb made it lush and overflowing. I also loved how it made the whole church smell like fresh cut flowers!
What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
Either the second line (I didn’t want to do one and Chris did, but I’m so glad I caved and did it…our guests LOVED it!)) or walking outside to the bus for the first time that day and realizing the weather was crisp and cool and PERFECT!
How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
I think the fact that we were the first ones on the dance floor set the tone for our guests to feel comfortable dancing all night! I’ve never met a dance floor that I didn’t like and Chris has never met a party that he doesn’t like!
What is your wedding song?
XO – John Mayer
