Tell us about your wedding venue(s) and why you chose to get married there.
Bahnsen and I both have a love for New Orleans. We absolutely love the gardens at City Park and the Pavilion is just beautiful. When I showed him this venue, he immediately said “This is it”. We knew it would be the perfect location for the biggest day of our life.

What was your favorite wedding detail?
My dress, my bouquet and my groom’s custom tux

What is your favorite wedding memory from the day?
First look- best moment of my life.. my heart literally was beating out of my chest. Our vows, seeing him tear up. And watching my parents dance on the dance floor with giant smiles.

How did you incorporate your personalities into your wedding celebration?
Bahnsen and I are both fairly traditional, both love New Orleans, and both wanted to treat our guests to an amazing night. We also love and respect our families so much- reason why the majority of our immediate family had a role in the ceremony. We also displayed photographs of our parents’ weddings on our welcome table. Its sad to say… but we both have a slight caffeine addiction, and so our favors were coffee bags with coffee.. They said “the perfect blend” -so cute! Bahnsen loves, I mean LOVES oysters, so my wedding gift to him was a live oyster shucking bar. Our guests raved about this. Lastly, we soon will be moving to Virginia, and we wanted to have a a special keepsake in our new house to remind of our first dance, so we had a live wedding painting- which was such a hit!
