There are moments like this, that I just cannot describe. They leave me feeling SO humbled and SOO grateful. I just opened my inbox to find the most beautiful email from my client Caitlin’s mother.
Throughout the process of working with a couple for their wedding, not only do I get to know them, but I get to know their families and friends as well…the people who have helped to make them who they are. And when those who love them most can find appreciation in the work that I do, when they can see the person that they love SO much shine through in the photographs, then I feel that I have done my job.
I wanted to share this incredible email that I recieved this morning from Caitlin’s mother, Mrs. Sharon. I cannot thank her enough for these words…they truly mean the world to me!  🙂
“Dear Catherine…
They say that a picture is worth a thousand words… but every one of your photographs goes well beyond a thousand. They cause me to reach beyond words to emotions that are only measured by the heart.
You captured her. Caitlin’s bridals were simply amazing! As we went through the gallery, there was not a single picture that didn’t take my breath away! And the select few that we have allowed to see the pictures have felt exactly the same way. Her grandmother wept. I told Cait that these are the types of photographs that become heirlooms for future generations. Years from now, people will look at your work and have the same response we initially had.Â
Thank you for making the day so perfect for us. I believe the Lord allowed time to stand still for me as I breathed in every precious moment! You are so gifted, and I count you among my sweetest blessings.Â
It will be a few days before I am able to decide ont her portrait for the canvas wrap for the reception. Bear with me. I am dealing with greatness – both in your gift of photography and my gift in having Caitlin as my daughter!! Sappy, but true!
