Aside from Pinterest, Facebook, and the thousands of bridal magazines out there, I can only imagine how much time the average bride spends searching for inspiration. Well, to top these options there are SO many fabulous wedding blogs out there designed primarily to inspire couples to create a uniquely creative day for their wedding.
It’s hard to say the very FIRST wedding blog I came across, but it’s fair to say that now….I visit a few of my favorites on a daily basis. About one year ago, I made a promise to myself that I would attempt to have more work published and displayed on these blogs I love so dearly. It’s excellent publicity, a challenge as not all session and wedding applications are accepted, and a WONDERFUL way to celebrate the beautiful stories and images of the couples I work with. 😉
Recently, I photographed an engagement session with Caitlin + Rob in the downtown region of Lafayette. Since I first met Caitlin, I knew that I was going to be working with a creative and incredibly sweet couple. Caitlin spends lots of time on pinterest planning; how do I know this? I repin her pins a lot and she repins mine too…lol. With that being said, I was not suprised when she showed up with a ton of adorable props for their engagement session.
Engagement session are fun an easy to spice up and make personal with even the slightest adjustments: ie: clothing, makeup, and props. Well, I suppose our plannig paid off because today, DIY Bride is featuring Caitlin + Rob’s engagement session. Now, THEY will be the ones inspiring other couples to create a unique environment for their images:
