When I arrived at the event…a little early, I had time to sit with Brandy’s grandmother, and a few other family members. In that 15 minutes, I learned so much. And I realized that both Brandy and Steve are the way they are because of the families they grew in: one which is kind, welcoming……and just downright interesting. 😉
From the start of this event through the final goodbyes at the wedding, I have been made to feel special, appreciated, and a part of the family. I couldn’t have imagined such a wonderful experience and I left feeling so thankful to have been a part of Brandy and Steve’s wedding process.
The Rehearsal Supper was held at City Club at River Ranch, a venue which I strongly recommend for such occasions. Both Hannah, event coordinator of City Club, and Valerie, wedding planner and owner of Southern Fete were there to make sure every detail was in place. And the event was just perfect.
For most of the events I photograph, there is little time to snack much less to enjoy a full meal. Brandy and Steve were kind enough to insist on my trying the food and it’s true, the food was as tasty as it was beautiful!
….and so were the desserts!!!…..
Also on display was Brandy’s stationary set designed by Valerie Metrijean of Southern Fete Creative. Beautiful!
There was LOTS of laughter during the night…
And when the toasts began, I could see there was a lot of emotion both happy and sad. Below, Brandy’s Godfather gave his toast….welcoming Steve to the family and expressing to Brandy how much they loved her and thought of her as a daughter.
Brandy and Shannon are VERY close. I could see Shannon fight back the tears as she told Brandy and Steve how she loved them and was happy that they’ve found love with one another.
As the night continued, there was plenty more quality time spent laughing, telling jokes, and enjoying each other’s company.
….PURE entertainment. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Steve is from Canada…so it was very interesting how everyone incorporated his culture and his background into the gifts as well as Brandy’s and her love for the Fleur de Lis and southern things! 🙂
The night ended with one final toast from Steve’s aunt….which cannot be repeated on my blog. 😉
I love these two girls…..and this incredible couple.
Thank you for allowing me to capture your rehearsal supper! 🙂
Thanks for sharing all these beautiful pictures and for all the wonderful things said. I must say, one of the most special weddings ever. Brandy’s nanny, Lindy
