I used to try to peak through the crack between the door frame and their tall white door…attempting to be as quiet as possibile. But when I’d pull…the door would stick. So, I’d pull harder until the door would skip on the frame. The loud sound always woke them…
I was scared of the dark…and sometimes, I still am. I’m also afraid of alligators, roaches, and growing up. Lots of things scare me actually, don’t let the thick skin fool you. Because underneath it all, I’m still the same 4 year old…afraid of the dark.
When I finally made it through their door, he would walk me back to my room and tuck me in. And the next morning he would sing to me….and then shake me (LOL) to wake me up. πΒ He always pushed me to grow…and to become stronger.
I love to lay with my feet hanging off the sides ofΒ the big comfy chair in our den and he still slaps my feet when he walks past. My brother, Scott, has also picked up on this slightly annoying habit. π HeΒ cries when he laughs too hard, he’s my walking encyclopedia, and he’s taught me more than I know.
