Creating a minimal, yet elegant wedding….one that is Simply. Modern. is by no means an easy feat. And I once heard someone say that one of the hardest things for a bride is to create a clear vision of what she wants for her wedding. Bridal blogs and wedding magazines are FLOODED with a ton of styles, ideas, and concepts. But the reason they’re being featured is because of that one clear driving concept.
I am obsessed with things that are modern and minimal. This most likely comes from all the years we spent flipping through 10×10 and other architecture books featuring the most modern of modern buildings. We would sit through lectures observing slide after slide of the way light fell on different raw surfaces like exposed concrete and glass. And I became infatuated with things that are clean and beautiful.
The most exciting moment is when I can see the lines between architecture and the wedding industry begin to blur….when I see a wedding held in a super modern venue or a bouquet made of broaches. I love the creativity in design and the ability for unique expression to occur on a wedding day.
So…this is my first Modern Madness post. The purpose it to put out a few of the things I’ve come across that I’ve absolutely fallen in love with………..
The Venue (top left) : Altitude 360 in London

Headpiece: Myrakim on Etsy

i LOVE the dress and cake. If I had seen either of those before my wedding i would have stolen them. I totally agree on the minimalist style. Less is more !
