I have come to notice that I have an obsessive personality. And although the term “obsessive” comes with lots of negative connotations, I simply mean that when I like something, I want to learn SO much about it!!! I tend to absorb myself in the subject. I do this with music, hobbies, and subjects that interest me.
Lately, my newest “obsession” has been blogging/bloggers/blogs////blogblogblogblog. π As you may or may not know, as of August last year, I have made it a personal goal of mine to blog daily. And it has been a bigger challenge than I could have imagined (with a few misses in between — although I’m trying constantly to maintain my goal). Blogging takes time, thought, and lots of sincere effort. I want my posts to have intention, interest, and HOPEFULLY at least one person will enjoy reading them. π
Last week, I put out on my facebook page a request to know what the fans of my pages’ favorite blogs were? What are they addicted to and why? I got a variety of answers ranging from mommy blogs to cooking blogs….fashion and personal blogs. It truly blew me away and opened a whole new view for me regarding the potential of social networks and reaching out to people. REALLY?! People make a living blogging…..“That’s craziness!” I told myself, but it’s true! In fact, I met a problogger myself Mr. J$ of Budgetsaresexy.com
If you don’t have your own blog reader, you should seriously consider signing up for one. It’s free and it’s a great way to organize your reading. I use Google Reader and it’s super easy to use (I actually switched from yahoo early on because I liked google so much better). After signing up, you can add subscriptions to your favorite bloggers via the subscription tab. This allows you to centralize your readings and notice updates without having to visit each blog individually. As you can see….I have a lot of catching up to do on my reading. π π π
When you sign up, be sure to catherineguidry.com/blog to your subscription tab! You can see below some of my favorite subscriptions as well…..
Happy reading my friends….I hope this helps you organize a bit, I certainly love reading my blog list when I have a bit of down time. π π π

I have to recommend using folders in Google Reader as well. I find that I get completely overwhelmed without them.
