Today………………………………………………………………………………is my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s right. One Quarter of a Century. CHECK.
When my 25th birthday started rolling around, I had mixed feelings. I did!! I was thankful because every year God blesses me with new gifts and opportunities. I was nervous because…really, how do you decide if where you are in life is good….Or appropriate for 25? And I was excited!!!! Because Gosh Darnit….. I am ALIVE, healthy, and happy. π And THAT, is something to be thankful for.
Seriously, my family and friends sure do know how to make a girl feel special on her birthday. Today…is a good day.
This weekend was amazing. I shot a beautiful wedding on Friday night, with my newest photog friend, Lyle Brocato, and an engagement session with an AWESOME couple in New Orleans. The rest of the weekend was spent with both of my brothers, my friends Ryan + Will, and my parents. Seriously, I feel like the luckiest girl in the world to have them in my life.
My family and friends for the past 25 years have made my life special. REALLY special. I have so many memories that make me smile. Surprise parties, sleepovers……once, my brothers even made me wear a sticker on my birthday from them the entire day. And although I said I didn’t want to, it secretly made me feel loved. π I’ve once been described as easily excitable. And I personally think that was an understatement! lol…so on a day like today, I am happy. SUPER happy.
As my life continues to grow and change, I’ve met more friends, clients, and peers. And they, too, have made my life even more fun…and more special. So thank you to each of you on my birthday!!!!!!!!!!
This is Ziggy. π π π I spent the weekend with him, too. And not only is he super cute and super sweet, but he’s perfect for this post because he looks like he’s dancing. And that’s what I feel like doing right now…..
