Just before the the Houston Rodeo, Jared took her out to dinner with Ryan and Krista, two of their very best friends. After dinner, Jared INSISTED she go to the restroom. He said that the trip was too long and he wouldn’t take no for an answer. (I find this part of the story very funny and extremely fitting) <–LOL

When she came back, ready to get into the booth again, she noticed Jared was kneeling, which Cairre mistook as him trying to make room for her to pass back into the booth. “GET UP!”  She told him…not once but twice! The second time after looking around and feeling slightly uncomfortable. Until FINALLY she noticed the ring he was holding.

Cairre + Jared have a sweet romance. Their love is deep…one that speaks to their ability of friendship in addition to a romantic love. They stick by each others side through hard times and through good times and over the years have developed a relationship that will last them a lifetime.

For their wedding, Cairre + Jaraed wanted a rustic, romantic, and personalized day. They chose eggplant and garden green for their color palette and a plantation style venue because they love the outdoors. Jared loves hunting, fishing, and just being in the woods and Cairre loves the natural light, bright sun, flowers, and greenery.

Cairre’s favorite wedding purchase was her gown and she spent much time creating and finalizing the details of her day with the help of her mom and her wedding planner, Margaret. 🙂 It was really excited being a part of Cairre’s day…especially after having grown up with Cairre and Jared. The day was perfect, with beautiful weather, and I am thankful that Amelia and I were there to capture it.

The day started at their ceremony venue: Shadownlawn. Cairre + Jared’s was the first wedding to ever take place at this plantation…and I would LOVE to shoot here again.

The character of the place was very unique and perfectly suited for Cairre + Jared.

I really could go on and on about Cairre’s details but I’ll just let the photos speak on their behalf. Simple…rustic….chic. LOVE.

When we arrived to begin photographing the preparation prior to the start of the ceremony, Cairre + her bridesmaids had on the cutest matching tops: all of course, compliments of Cairre’s artistic abilities.

Christian Jewel finished Cairre’s makeup, leaving her beautiful as always.

Cairre was just…SO happy. 🙂 🙂 This makes me smile.

While we were upstairs, Amelia was downstairs with the guys. I can ONLY imagine the stories she hears. 😉

And then, it was time for their First Look. Cairre + Jared opted to see each other before the wedding so that they could have that special moment together. Jared would be the first to see Cairre, and they could do all of their formal photos prior to the start of the ceremony, leaving them with the ability to go straight to their reception.

Cairre…your expression is ADORABLE!

Amelia and I were there shooting, but saying nothing. We were simply photographing these moments as they were unfolding. This is my angle…

…AH! LOVE… And this was Amelia’s angle.

We spent about 15 minutes following their first look shooting on the grounds of Shadowlawn: A BEAUTIFUL place for photos.

We couldn’t have asked for a better day…and Cairre FINALLY got the sunlight she wanted!

This is one of my favorites from their wedding day.

One of the greatest things about doing a first looks is that we can shoot the formal photos before the wedding in the lovely natural light.

I love these girls.

Jared and his groomsmen each wore their favorite pair of boots. I’ve never seen this done before but I thought it was really neat. And their boots were all really awesome!

Cairre, you’re so talented.

Again, this detail below of the programs was 100% Cairre. She designed, and created these AH-Mazing fans for their wedding guests.

The next series of shots were photographed by Amelia. One of my favorite things about having us shoot together (aside from her calming personality.. 🙂 )…is the fact that she can get those shots of the bride/groom just minutes before the ceremony as I am shooting the processional. These next four shots are just perfect and makes me feel so lucky to have Amelia shooting by my side.

As Mr. Doug and Cairre walked out….

Jared was ALL smiles…all over again.

Cairre, you’re radiant!!! And I am so happy the sun waited until your wedding day to come out for us.

There is something about an outdoor wedding that just cannot be duplicated. It’s a risk but when it happens beautifully like it did for them…>AH, I just love that romantic feeling.

The shot below is one of my alltime favorites.

The entire ceremony was so nice…and of course, the vows were my favorite.

Let’s just say that Jared’s best man Ryan’s pants were a L.I.T.T.L.E. tight…and Cairre + Jared got a huge kick out of this as he bent over to sign the marriage license.

Mr. and Mrs. Jared Wiley

There were so many neat details at Cairre + Jared’s wedding… include the candy bar!

Their first dance as husband and wife…

I went to high school with Cairre as well as the majority of her closest friends which made this reception particularly interesting for me. lol…I LOVE these girls.

Mimi and Heather, I’m happy to see that you haven’t changed.

This picture is most DEFINITELY getting framed on my wall. <–and I’m photoshopping Heather into it. 😉

Just one of those great reception moments…

Mr. Doug cracks me up…

The one and only Seth Henry.

The Newlyweds!

Sparklers are my favorite. 🙂 Congratulations you two! Thank you SO much for having us there to document your day!
