My blog has become my journal….a diary of sorts. I enjoy blogging…who would have thought?! *insert sarcasm here* π I think it was a given. Growing up, I always had a journal; I was a tad bit inspired by Ryan Phillippe of Cruel intentions and would fill my journals with tickets, pictures, cutouts, and memories.
Only about one year ago, I didn’t even know what a blog was. I kept seeing the word blog EVERYWHERE…and so, because I am the curious Cat that I am, I did a little bit of research and decided I had to have one. My first blog…not successful. lol…but I took a deep breath and put myself out there again. Sometimes, I am scared to write…But I’ve decided that’s ok. Because if one person…just one (and yes, it can be you, mom) enjoys what I’ve written, then my time is worth it.
The goal of my blog is to reach out: to my current clients, to potential couples, to my friends, to other photographers and vendors in the industry, to my family….and to REACH W-I-T-H-I-N. I want my blog to be a means for me to continue to examining my work and to examining my life, to share images and to share my story.
I am currently reading “A Million Miles in a Thousand Years” recommended to me by my friend Jamie…..The book is about a man in creation of a better story for his life. Since, I have been on a mission for a better story as well and I intend to continue recording it so as to test that statement. Blogging is such a wonderful way to look life and be able to look back on what life was, one month or even one year ago.
I am also thankful because this blogging experience has caused me to pull up photos such as this one. I’m sad…this bench has seen it’s last day (and thankfully so have the outfits we were wearing). π I love my family and it’s so much fun finding old photos of us like this one.
