Photographing weddings is so much more than an occupation for me. I genuinely love the couples that I work with…..
And more than anything, I want nothing more than perfection for them…especially on their wedding day. After Addie + Justin’s wedding, they took a trip to Mexico. Just as I do for every couple, I posted my favorite images from their wedding day on my blog. Yesterday, at the same time that I was emailing her the link to the gallery, I received this email below. I wanted to share it because it meant SO much to me.
My blog has become almost a public diary if you will. A way for me to remember the way I felt, what I’ve seen, and to document these moments in life not only through images, but through writing as well. These words and the words that my couples express to me I want to cherish; they mean more than anything because it allows me to walk away knowing that I gave it my all.
Words from Addie:
“The Soulier’s are back from Mexico and I just wanted to take the time to thank you for everything that you have done for us over the past couple of months!! I spent a lot of time researching photographers and little details and I always found myself going back to your website at the end of the day. Your work is truly amazing and you have been blessed with such an amazing gift. I would say to be sure to take the time to embrace your talents, but it is very evident that you do so.
From day one you have always made Justin and I feel so comfortable. And the first time that we talked on the phone, I knew that I had met a new friend. As Justin said, you are so full of energy and this is what allows your clients to recognize your passion for what you do! I mean, not every photographer would feel comfortable enough or have the energy after a freezing cold shoot to come eat gumbo with my crazy family!! Oh, and sushi!
From the images that we have seen from our wedding day, you have captured one of the most special days of our lives perfectly!! After seeing our engagements and my bridals I did not expect anything less! When looking for a photographer I wanted one that was as detail oriented as I was, and just from your blog I can tell that you are and that I definitely made the right decision!! We have gotten so many compliments on our pictures and I have even made a few referrals!

Addie’s comments are so true! Catherine has such a special way with people. She made my daughter and her fiance’ feel SO special while doing their engagement photos. She was TRULY interested in their love story, and she accepts them whole-heartedly just the way they are. My husband and I both feel so blessed to have her photographing our only daughter’s wedding. We can’t wait for the bridal session and finally, the wedding! Cat is a sincere and lovely person, and we are so happy to have her in our lives! Love you, Catherine!!
