Ally organized a Saint’s Party for the LA state Society. While handing out tickets at the door, he saw her. Brad is quite the outgoing guy with a fun personality so he had no hesitations in grabbing a drink for Ally and attempting to get her phone number. Brad was so unsure after he got her number and even at their first date of how she felt but by their second date… he knew. 🙂 And he couldn’t have been MORE sure…than when she accepted his proposal (which you’ve got to read if you haven’t before —> HERE).

They’ve spent the time since their proposal planning their day. Their wedding was inspired by New Orleans and a little bit of Washington, D.C. where they currently reside. They even incorporated their favorite things like Ally’s love for pink and Brad’s love for golf. At the reception, they created a candy bar with their favorite candies and NOLA treats for their friends and family…really, they thought of it all!!!

And now that the wedding has passed, I’ve since heard back from Ally + Brad and they expressed to me their favorite parts of the day. For Ally, she loved her note/bracelet from Brad, the ceremony, band, and all of the dancing and crazy fun!!! For Brad, he loved the time spent with his guys before the ceremony (specifically on the playground), the police escort and rolls royce  and scream-singing “Something” to Ally for the first dance. LOL

Their Pretty + Pink wedding day was perfect! And I’m so excited to share their post! Below are the vendors who helped to make their day so memorable:

We’ll start their wedding day preview with a fabulous pair of silver Jimmy Choo heels and Ally’s perfume/lipstick. This shot is a perfect indication of Ally’s fabulous style: she bought this perfume primarily because there was a bow on top…and her lipstick matched her wedding colors! 🙂

Amelia and I arrived at the Monteleone to photograph Ally + Brad as they prepared for their wedding. Amelia was with Brad and able to grab this shot below of him getting ready for the day. 🙂

I adore Ally’s attention to detail including her hanger, gorgeous gown (which by the way was her favorite detail), bridesmaid’s pink shoes, grey bridesmaids dresses, and green bracelets. 🙂

Brad gifted Ally with the most beautiful pearl bracelet from Tiffany & Co….everyone watched her read his sweet note and open the Tiffany box while they oohhhed and ahhhhed.

I thought the bowties were perfect for their New Orleans wedding!

Get Polished Events did such a fabulous job with hair/makeup on Ally’s wedding day. Ally, you’re so beautiful!

Ally had the sweetest exchange with her mother before she went to meet Brad for their First Look.

While Brad gifted Ally with her beautiful pearl bracelet, Ally also gifted Brad with this awesome Citizen watch (“so that he’d show on time”)

…in addition to various sweet and thoughtful gifts in his “Groom’s Wedding Day Survival Kit” including:

*lifesaver mints (“to ensure a fresh kiss and for being hers”)

*Baker’s whiskey (“to calm his nerves”) <–and of course, because it’s Baker’s Brand

socks (“so he wouldn’t get cold feet”)

He also sported these super cool cufflinks…..

This. Is. Awesome. 🙂  I love this tunnel created before he went to their First Look!

Amelia’s perspective of Ally during their first look….really shows her excitement to seeing Brad!!!

And this was my perspective of Brad…when he saw Ally for the first time on their wedding day!

They immediately wrapped their arms around each other and exchanged I love yous. 🙂

Not only were we fortunate enough to have this suite opened specifically for us to use for their first look but we had the opportunity to shoot in it as well. 🙂

It was important for Ally + Brad not to have anyone around for their first look so I’m so thankful that it all worked out thanks to Ally + her very kind connection at the Monteleone.

It was a gorgeous day for their wedding so we made sure to spend some time outside enjoying the wonderful light and energy of the city!

These two! <3 <3 <3 <3

Are you kidding me? Pockets…for both! 🙂

One of the many wonderful things about the first look, is the couples ability to have photos taken outdoors and before the ceremony with their bridal party and family! 🙂

We’re also able to grab fun candids like this shot Amelia grabbed below!

Oh! And this one too!

……Yes, they wore HOT pink socks!!!! AH! 🙂 What a fun surprise when the color peeks out!

Ally actually did some research ahead of time and came across this really cool bricked wall in an alley of the quarter near their hotel. The studly Brad and his groomsmen!

AH!! The lovely Ally and her bridesmaids with their fabulous pink shoes and bouquets. 🙂 🙂

L.O.V.E.

And this pink arched wall fit Ally + Brad’s taste perfectly! I love how it really compliments their vision for the day!

Do you see what I mean about when the pink peeks out? So cool! And yes…this really happened. 🙂

In fact, this is one of Brad’s favorite memories of his wedding day: hanging on the jungle gym with his best friends.

Brad + his dad moments before the wedding began.

Ally’s mom surprised her with a Rolls Royce to bring her from the Monteleone to the church! I just adore this shot of her before she was wed.

Ally was so beautiful as she made her way down the aisle.

Ally + Brad were married in a church filled with so much meaning.

Sooo sweet…after their first kiss as husband and wife, Brad leaned in for another. 🙂

Mr. and Mrs. Brad Baker!

Before heading to the reception, we took just a moment to grab a silhouette of them in front of the church!

🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

The Audubon Tea Room is AHmazing!

….and so was their vision for the reception! Get Polished Events also did a fabulous job of preparing the details!

Elegant Florals!…and the pink runners were a direct reflection of  their Stationary.

A + B!

Their first dance as husband and wife!

After Ally + Brad’s first dance, Ally + her dad took over the dance floor. They are so much fun!

It was also such a beautiful moment when Brad danced with his mom….

And then, I glanced over to Brad’s dad, and saw this….

Following the dances, Ally’s dad gave a toast to the Newlyweds.

Ally slipped on this hot pink sash for the reception. 🙂 It was a really neat way to change her look!

That’s right….they made a train and paraded around the room to Bucktown All Stars in TRUE New Orleans fashion.

Ally + Brad…and all of they’re guests made sure to enjoy these fun moments of their reception.

We had to grab a shot with these two!

Ally + Brad exited to lavender + rose petals! Congratulations!!!!!!

….and they’re off in their Rolls Royce!!!

Ally + Brad,

Thank you so much for having Amelia and I present for your wedding. From your engagement session through your wedding day, it’s been a pleasure working with the both of you. Together you create the best combination of creativity,  care, and the ability to laugh at life (and keep others laughing with you). I couldn’t be happier that you’ve found your match in life, your best friend, and the one you’ll share your life with. We’re honored to have been the ones able to document your special day! I hope your California honeymoon was all that you wanted and that you’re getting settled back into life as a married couple.
