Although it was Kate’s idea to travel to Chicago, she had no idea Nick would propose there. It was a super cold and windy evening……(Cold weather must follow them because the day of their engagements was FREEZING as well!!!) …….Nick planned dinner for them on the 95th floor of the Hancock Building. There was an incredible view of the Chicago skyline and in that magical environment, Nick waited for the perfect moment and asked Kate to be his wife.
Kate + Nick have known each other since they were in the early years of high school…and have transitioned into several stages of life with each other to share with along the way. They’ve made it through the challenges of long distance while still supporting one another in their goals and aspirations.
I feel fortunate to have met and to be working with Kate + Nick. They truly care for one another and it’s obvious that their connection runs deep.
The day of their engagement session was on what I would consider to be the COLDEST day of the year so far that I’ve spent shooting….but they toughed it out and the result are these gorgeous images.
I had the HARDEST time choosing my favorites for this post so forgive me if it’s longer than normal. 🙂
Kate + Nick,
Thank you so much for choosing me to photograph the two of you for your engagement session! It was my pleasure. You guys were so easy and fun to work with and never even complained about the FREEZING cold weather! I hope you had as much fun as I did and I’m very much looking forward to your wedding day!
